Baked Apples with Honey + hot yummy tea

I've just remembered of this post from a few years ago, and it is now decided it should be better reposted. We are about to be FALLING INTO FALL in the coming days, and, as I haven't made yet any seasonal specialities, I think this one would be a great starterπŸ˜‰πŸ

I rarely eat apples (well, just not my kind of fruit to eat it raw. I prefer pears, by the way:) ; but anything baked with apples is quite a different story! Apples, when baked, get so juicy and flavoursome! So, here I'm sharing a yummy idea of a healthy baked snack:

1. Wash the apples and core them so that there was a hole for a filling.
2. The filling i made was a mixture of what's usually at hand - honey, raisins, cedar nuts or just any pounded nuts and, of course, spices e.g. cinnamon & nutmeg powder.
3. Pour some water onto the bottom of a deep pan, place there your stuffed apples. Cover with a lid and cook for 15-20 mins.

... I enjoyed my apples along with sunflower seed brittles (gosinachs) and halwa!

And the tea was very delicious - a mix of black tea with hibiscus, bits of beetroot, strawberry, raspberry & apples, flavoured with chocolate! Not of my own blend though, a store-bought variety - I'm sure it contained artificial flavours which is not acceptable for me since quite a time. I started making my own herbal tea blends, but... that's another story which is going to be revealed in my future postsπŸ˜‰

These were my first baked apples, so, yeah... they came out collapsed. Still, that didn't affect the taste... and, I will keep practicing! ;)

today's mood: Seaside Lavender

It's definitely been ...quite a while... since my last post hereπŸ‘Ό. Almost a year has passed! Blogging used to take me somewhat more time than i actually was ready to devote.  I really feel the necessity to continue blogging, yet at a pace that will be comfortable for me. Recently, i was lucky to have found some really great websites allowing to create smart collages and moodboards in the blink of an eye. I tried lots of such stuff before, and these sites are absolutely the best → photocollage.com and fotojet.com. Plus, check out photoeditor.com - they offer many creative frames, like the one i used in the end of this post for my fashion set. Click the "effects" button in the menu once your photo has been uploaded. Then choose from many amazing frames from the category "fantasy frame." You'll surely fall in love with their designs!

So now, my blogging is supposed to be taking the amount of time i can normally spend on it. I won't be posting daily, of course, but may be once a week or once a month... (or may be even a bit more often). Anyway, i am going to post quite regularly with some adequate intervals in-between.

Well, my today's mood is all about the softness and tenderness of lavender shades, with splashes of berry tones + earthy & copper hues.

...In fact, the idea of this post came to me when I saw a photo of Amsterdam (right in the center of my moodboard) and tried to imagine what kind of interiors might be hidden in there behind those fairy-tale like facades...

...A FEW SMART INTERIORS ENCOMPASSING OUR TODAY's COLOUR SCHEME:

πŸ”Ό A glorious living room in pink and sandy hues. I'm also loving those semi-opaque grey bottles on the table!

πŸ”Ό I like the splashes of  orange, lilac (have u already spotted a large amethyst in front?) and other berry tones against the powdered blue background. A bit of brown and black are always perfect to emphasize the airiness produced by the cool pastel shades.

And, here's a little creation, my very first set I made at URSTYLE  after a few years of downtime since the closure of POLYVORE. The set is quite simple, but it supports our today's featured colour scheme :) By the way, if you like or would like to try creating sets of any kind - fashion, interiors, art...whatevs!  URSTYLE is a wonderful social network offering all the main POLYVORE features and... I think it's even better 🀫

'Igaili - Gulf Cuisine:Cardamom-Saffron-Dates Sponge Cake

This recipe is from Sarah Al Hammad's book ' Cardamom and Lime. Recipes from the Arabian Gulf'. Really not difficult to make and such a good thing to enjoy - soft textured, cardamom and saffron scented & naturally sweetened with juicy dates -- it is blissful! So, 'let us eat a cake'! ;)

The recipe in the book suggests serving the cake with a spoonful of creme fraiche or a scoop of vanilla ice cream, but we ate it plain, while still hot, with tea, and... yeah, a bliss! :)
